Hi, I’m Barbara Chaney and I’ve been writing for small- to medium-sized business for more than 15 years. I started in the early Internet years, so I’ve seen it all. And while looking back at the days of AOL is fun, seeing what has worked over time really allows me to help clients grow. My background in PR and marketing helps too. 


My process and what to expect:

I have a process I’ve developed to get the best results.

1. Discovery call and questionnaire

We’ll start with a call about your website or project to see if it can benefit from copywriting help. If so, I’ll send you a quote and a projected timeline. Once we agree to work together, you’ll get my questionnaire about your project and your goals.

2. Research and brand messaging

This stage is vital as I’ll dive into researching your competitors and the needs of your target audience. I’ll also analyze your brand messaging to make sure your unique value proposition is a magnetic draw for your prospects.

3. Writing copy

This is when I’ll use all I’ve learned to write copy that will engage and persuade your ideal customer to buy. We’ll review it together so you can see (and hear) why I wrote it the way I did to reach our goals.

4. Revising and finalizing

We’ll review through a feedback process and I’ll make any adjustments before finalizing. I offer unlimited rounds of edits within 2 weeks to ensure you’re happy with the final product.
